The problem
It is fairly known that the revenue on television advertising is less then before.
Some mention numbers of only 8% revenue from ads during prime time.
There is alot to say about those commercials. It might be the impact of the commercial itself that lacks communication. But this I want to leave behind for a moment.
How I got the idea
As I was reading some tings on twitter today, visited a few new websites,…and read again about social media.. I was thinking…why not integrate those two. Then I looked for a moment to my new Playstation 3, and it suddenly crossed my mind…
Tuesday, I played the new Final Fantasy. The power of the Playstation 3 is undebatable good. It’s interactivity with high quality video and audio is a fact.
I thought…if a home device is already so powerfull to deliver the high quality audio/video and interactivity at the same time,…why can’t they use it at television stations? why do tv commercials have to be so incredible static?
The solution
If say, a computer can deal with the interactivity which will be updated through the net, advertising/multimedia agencies can create a significant interactivity/more up to date/funnier aspect of a commercial.
Let’s make those ads fun to watch, instead of being a pain in the ass.
It’s not a big leap, but it is definately a step forward!
